How to Get Rid of Stretch Marks and Cellulite

Extreme stretching of the skin caused by the repaid growth that often accompanies puberty, body building or pregnancy can cause unsightly stretch marks. When dermis, the fibers in the middle layer of skin are broken they create lines that at first appear red or purplish then later turn pink or white. The best time to treat stretch marks are as soon as they appear. But if you don’t manage to tackle them at first sight, there is still hope of completely eliminating these scars.

body-solutionThe best way requires no creams or pills or surgery. Simply losing weight can go a long way in minimizing the appearance of stretch marks, especially those caused by weight gain in body building and pregnancy. The Acai berry has been proven effective in weight loss and improved energy and may be what you need to jump start your diet. Promoted on Rachel Ray and plugged by Lara Spencer of The Insider, it is quickly gaining in popularity as a way to safely and effectively lose weight.

If dieting isn’t your issue then topical creams may be the answer. Retinol A seems to work best. While it cannot be used while nursing or pregnant, it has proven to be the most effective cream available, especially when used in conjunction with glycolic acid. Glycolic acid has been shown to increase collagen production and when used with Retinol A the results are nothing short of astounding.

Lotions or creams containing cocoa butter are less expensive than Retinol A and, according to many, works just as well. Cocoa butter has been shown to sometimes even prevent stretch marks. Cocoa butter’s ability to increase the skin’s elasticity, and maintain it, may be the reason for this.

Microderm abrasion works well for removing older scars. But the downside of microderm abrasion is well, the abrasion part. It can leave the skin raw and in need of more topical creams to protect it in the hours following the procedure.

Edifying article. Adding a bit more to it I thought of mentioning that many acai berry research programs are still finding more and more benefits such as fatty acids, amino acids, large quantities of nutrients that the body needs for increasing metabolic functions and for boosting energy (think a more healthy Redbull). Acai is a great replacement for coffee or other energy drinks that are packed with tons of sugar. Acai juice can give you a stronger boost of energy that any of those, without all the bad side effects. It will also give you a high does of essential nutrients that those other drinks just can’t give you.
